DraftKings, which has long been a daily fantasy giant, has added sports betting to their portfolio and aim to be the leader in this fast-growing field.

Founded in 2011 in Boston, DraftKings quickly became a leader in the exploding world of DFS. So when PASPA was struck down by the Supreme Court in May of 2018, it was only a matter of time before this sports juggernaut entered the field of legalized sports betting. By planting their flag in five states, DraftKings has quickly carved out a large niche in the sports betting space. As of now, they offer mobile betting through the DraftKings app to residents New Jersey, Indiana, Mississippi, and West Virginia. DraftKings also offers bricks and mortar wagering in New York, New Jersey, and Mississippi.

User Experience

Since DraftKings made their name in daily fantasy, you would expect their web and mobile experience to be top-notch — and you wouldn’t be wrong! The DK Sportsbook aesthetic and UX will be very familiar to anyone who has spent hours tinkering with their DFS lineup.

It’s hard to overstate how much an experienced tech company with resources and muscle can outperform other start-ups trying to enter the sports betting space. The last thing you want when money is on the line is a glitchy experience.

Payment Methods

One great thing about the DraftKings Sportsbook is the wide variety of options to make deposits:

  • Mastercard/Visa
  • PayPal
  • Bank Transfer

Cash out

Similarly, DraftKings offers multiple options for cashing out your winnings:

  • PayPal
  • Bank Transfer
  • Check
  • Casino cages (Mississippi, New Jersey, New York)

Cashing out isn’t quite as easy as betting, unfortunately (the story of every gambler’s life). Withdrawals to PayPal take anywhere from 2-8 days, while checks can take 2-3 weeks for delivery. Withdrawal requests that come in after 5 PM on Friday don’t begin processing until the following Monday.

Betting online means betting on almost anything. DraftKings is no different; they have a wide variety of sports available, so you have skin in the game whether you’re a Hoops Head… or an Australian Rules Football Head.

The minimum bet on any sport is $1. Here are DraftKing’s available options.

  • Football
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Soccer
  • Golf
  • Ice Hockey
  • Tennis
  • Cricket
  • Fighting
  • Australian Rules Football
  • Cycling
  • Darts
  • Rugby
  • Motorsports

DraftKings reserves the right to limit the maximum bet amount

Depending on the sport, DraftKings offers a wide variety of ways to bet. That means in football you can bet Miami to lose, the Miami/Cincinnati to hit the Under, or parlay  Miami, Washington, and New York.

Here’s the full array of wagering options:

  • Moneyline
  • Spreads
  • Totals
  • Parlays
  • Teasers
  • Round Robins
  • Features
  • Props
  • Live Betting
