TomBox Sports Betting Algorithm NBA Picks for Wednesday 2/10/2021: Luka Dončić vs. Trae Young - Dallas Mavericks vs. Atlanta Hawks

William Hill RF500 - 728x90

After the TomBox sports betting algorithm went 4-0 on its Monday picks, now is the perfect time to jump on the AI algorithm’s virtual, socially-distanced bandwagon now that the Super Bowl is over (masks required).

With nine games on the NBA schedule this evening, there are a ton of interesting predicted outcomes to choose from. Tonight’s picks start in Dallas, where the Mavericks are facing the Atlanta Hawks. The National Anthem may not be played, but Luka Dončić and Trae Young will be doing battle on ESPN and are the subject of the TomBox sports betting algorithm’s prop picks for the evening.

(Spreads and predictions in this column are subject to change based on injuries and updates to the TomBox algorithm’s forecast. Please check the NBA page for the latest updates since publication.)

Tonight’s Best Prop Bets

The matchup between the Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavericks matchup is full of great opportunities to win big on props. Check out the full breakdown. We have taken the odds for these two player props from the DraftKings Sportsbook.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Atlanta Hawks: Luka Dončić Top Point Scorer of the Game (+100)

Tonight’s big game features two players traded for each other on draft night in 2018. And once again, there’s no contest on who the better player will be in this game. The TomBox sports betting algorithm is projecting Doncic to lead all scorers with 32.4 points, comfortably ahead of Young’s 23.4 and Kristaps Porziņģis’ 19.8.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Atlanta Hawks: Trae Young NOT to Record a Double-Double (-115)

Young averages 9.2 assists per game and has 10 double-doubles in 21 games this season. So him achieving one isn’t all too far-fetched. But the TomBox sports betting algorithm doesn’t think tonight will be one of those nights. It’s projecting just 7.8 assists against the Mavs, well short of the 10 he’d need to cash in on this. That’s a no from us, dog.

Tonight’s Best Moneyline Pick

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Denver Nuggets: Denver ML (-455)

After Monday’s home setback against the Milwaukee Bucks, Denver will be hungry for a win against the offensively-challenged Cavaliers, who enter tonight’s game 29th in the league in offense. The TomBox algorithm gives the Nuggets an 85.9% chance to win this game outright, with a projected score of 120.9-107.6.

We’re expecting All-Star center Nikola Jokić to go off for 37.2 points on 78% shooting with 10.6 rebounds and 8.7 assists. With Jamal Murray adding 19.6 points, Denver should win this game with relative ease and provide an easy W to your ledger.

Tonight’s Best Spread Pick

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Los Angeles Lakers: Oklahoma City +12

Although the TomBox sports betting algorithm anticipates the Lakers winning this game 114.4-106.8 and giving them a 72.1% chance to do so, that’s not covering the large spread set by oddsmakers for this contest.

In fact, our algorithm gives the Thunder an 89.6% chance to cover the 12 behind 14.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists from Al Horford. LeBron James will lead all scorers with 30.6 points and get close to a triple-double. But it won’t be enough to get the L.A. margin to more than a dozen.

Tonight’s Best Over/Under Pick

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves: Over 224

We could see why oddsmakers set this over/under. Both teams’ points scored and allowed per game basically add up to the 224 mark. But the TomBox sports betting algorithm anticipates the Clippers to shoot a blistering 52.2% from the field for the game as a team and win 121-109.1, well above the over/under line. The TomBox sports betting algorithm gives a strong 77.1% chance of the over hitting.

Kawhi Leonard is expected to lead all scorers with 28.9 points in a win for L.A. and for you if you take the over.
