We had another winning record last week when I went 2-1 with my picks. For the season, my record is 25-17. We only have three weeks left in the regular season, so let’s make them count. I have three more wagers to consider for Week 15 of the NFL: one moneyline, one spread, and one over/under. All odds were obtained from the DraftKings Sportsbook.
Buffalo Bills @ Denver Broncos: Bills ML (-275)
The Broncos are coming off of a win against the Panthers last week. But they still have an ugly record for the season at 5-9. Their wins have mostly come against bad teams, with the Dolphins being the only impressive win on their resume. Their other victories have come against the Jets, Patriots, and Chargers. Playing at home this week doesn’t exactly give them a significant edge, either, since they are 2-4 at home this season.
The Bills have won three straight on their way to a 10-3 record. They are 4-2 on the road, and one of their road losses came on a hail mary touchdown pass by the Cardinals as time expired. Had it not been for that wild play, the Bills would enter this contest on a seven-game winning streak. The odds aren’t great here. But the Bills have an excellent opportunity to earn a win and tighten their grip on the top spot in the AFC East.
Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans: Colts -7 (-117)
Talk about a decisive win. The Colts handled the Raiders last week, winning 44-27 on the road. They have now won four of their last five games, which included a 26-20 defeat of these same Texans just two weeks ago. They have generally performed well as favorites this season, posting an 8-4 record against the spread.
Meanwhile, the Texans are 1-3 ATS as road underdogs and enter having just been demolished by the Bears last week, 36-7. The good news is that they are set to get running back David Johnson back after he missed last week while on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Brandin Cooks’ (neck) status is still up in the air, though. And Will Fuller’s suspension has left them thin at wide receiver. Don’t let it surprise you if they get blown out here, especially if Cooks is unable to play.
New England Patriots @ Miami Dolphins: Patriots Under 20.5 Points (-124)
The Dolphins’ defense had an uncharacteristically poor performance last week, when they allowed 33 points. However, it came against the Chiefs, who have arguably the best offense in the league. Even factoring in that contest, the Dolphins have allowed an average of just 18.8 points per game, which is the second-fewest in the league.
The Patriots have been a good team at home this season. But this game could be a struggle considering they are 2-5 on the road. Their offense has been one of the main reasons for the lack of success, which has contributed to them scoring 20 points or fewer in three of their last four games. Their passing game has struggled with Cam Newton at the helm and this could be a rough matchup for him considering the Dolphins have generated as many interceptions (16) as they have allowed passing touchdowns. This has the makings of a low-scoring affair for the Patriots in Week 15 of the NFL.
